Municipal Services
With a shortage of qualified Building Inspectors, many communities need support for vacation time for their Inspector, or temporary support for the busy season. Sometimes there is a gap created when the inspector moves to another community and the community needs a temporary replacement while they go through the hiring process for a permanent replacement. Some communities are small and don't require a full-time inspector. There are many small communities who simply do not have the tax revenue generation to hire the full time staff they need. We can provide inspections in all of these scenarios and keep the community's building and development operating smoothly.

BCBC PART 9 CODE INSPECTIONS
Relief, Temporary Support, Special Projects
Any small build under 600 m2 and 3 floors falls under BC Building Code Part 9. This includes many small commercial developments and most residential builds. Usually code compliance inspection is performed in the initial plan review, and then at several stages of progress, such as at the foundation stage, the framing stage, building envelope, insulation and vapour barrier, plumbing, and completion. Under the guidelines of the Building Officials Association of British Columbia (BOABC) we offer residential and small commercial site inspection services, as well as remote inspection services that fit under Part 9 of the BC Building Code and the National Building Code.
Code Review
Section Subtitle
As well as site inspection services we offer code review services. Generally we prefer to work on site as often we have questions for the builders or owners, however we can adjust our services to meet the needs of the client and their desires or budget.
We have worked in Fort Nelson, Prince George, Merritt, Sicamous, Quesnel, the lower mainland... we travel.

Management Services
In several communities we have acted as the Director of Development Services for communities to assist them through a period where they have a gap in their staffing. We have assisted in finding a suitable replacement and managed the department in that absence. In several cases we have been hired to restructure a department, the processes, the records or inspection systems, and have implemented changes to upgrade the way the community can serve the public while trimming time or cost considerations.
