FIRST NATIONS SERVICES

We have been working in and around First Nations communities for over 20 years. Previous to 2009 our focus was construction and project management, but since that time we started working directly for various bands in the role of General Manager, Band Manager, Executive Director, or CAO - whatever label that community uses. We lead the administrative team in policy development, economic development, and planning facilitation. In our time we have helped to build infrastructure, single and multi-family housing, fire halls, administration buildings, and water / wastewater systems. We have assisted in restructuring organizations, reorganizing financial systems, and have also created strong Housing Policies, facilitated strong Strategic Plans, and have been closely involved with Economic Development planning in various roles as facilitator, strategist, and have sat on the boards of several economic development corporations.

Having served so many communities around the province, we have experience with many of the various indigenous cultures and recognize that every community has specific cultural practices and customs and needs that arise from that individuality.

This level of understanding and expertise cannot be gained without the experience of time that we have put into it.

BUILDING INSPECTIONS

BOABC Certified

Since 2015 we have been certified by the BOABC in Part 9 building inspections. This certification allows us to inspect and stamp various stages of construction, sign off on completion forms, and partner with your community to apply for Section 95 funding.
In addition to CMHC Section 95, we have an inspection and estimation product which will allow your Housing department to apply for renovation funding from RRAP, NAHS, and BC Housing funding streams. This popular product has been very successful for many communities around the province, from Quesnel to the Fraser Valley.

RENOVATION ESTIMATES

ISC, CMHC

With more than 20 years of general contracting experience and 11 years of working within First Nation communities, we can put together the estimates you need to apply for funding programs. Having the BOABC certified stamp carries the weight of having a qualified professional opinion on the proper renovation plan and the associated costs of the work. These renovation inspections and estimates are valid for RRAP, CMHC, NAHS, and BC Housing funding programs. Ask about our annual asset conditioning program.

RESIDENTIAL PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Over 20 Years Experience

We have built nearly a thousand residential units, both single family and multi-family. Today's funding sources favor building multi-family units to save on construction costs and lower the "per-unit" cost of housing. From ground up project funding applications to site development to turn-key housing, we have flexible service options to fit every community's individual needs.

INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT

Building it to Last

Having worked with ISC and many communities over the years, we have a strong understanding of how the federal funding model works. We can help develop your project and get it funded, and we can manage the construction of the project as well. Every community has a different set of resources, be it locally sourced aggregates, community owned equipment, local labour force, member owned construction company, or community owned construction company. We can help with subdivision development, economic infrastructure development, or community buildings such as halls, health centers, administration buildings, or whatever other project is important to the community.
